Biofireplace in the interior of your home

For centuries, the fireplace has been one of the components of large living rooms, spacious rooms in palaces and houses. Now it is unlikely that anyone will want, and even be able to reproduce a real fireplace in their home, but you should not completely abandon this idea. Modern options for decorative fireplaces, including a biofireplace, will help you get out of the situation and bring something original to your interior.

Biofireplace is different in that the fuel for it exists in liquid form and is called bioethanol. Because of this, this type of fireplace is also called alcohol fireplaces.

It is worth noting that in the absence of smoke, a real fire burns in the biofireplace. At the same time, this product meets all safety and environmental standards.

A bio-fireplace is a cross between a classic fireplace that is heated with wood and functions to produce a fire with smoke and an electric fireplace that only imitates flames. At the same time, a chimney is not needed for a biofireplace, and, unlike a wood-burning fireplace, it has an increased level of environmental friendliness.

For the first time, a biofireplace appeared relatively recently, in 1977, at the suggestion of an Italian engineer who suggested that alcohol could be used as a natural fuel for a fireplace.

A modern biofireplace creates a flame through the combustion of alcohol vapors. This process cannot take place without access to oxygen, just as with any other fuel.

Instead of smoke and other unpleasant attributes of a real fireplace, bioethanol emits only water and carbon dioxide.

In general, the biofireplace option is a great solution for those who want to decorate their home with something similar. It does not require additional documentation, it looks very aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly, the biofireplace is completely safe. To install a fireplace, you do not need a special area, and indeed, it can be placed in an ordinary apartment or private house, in an office or trade center, on a terrace or veranda.

The first and most important positive characteristic of a biofireplace is its environmental friendliness. As mentioned above, it does not affect the environment with harmful substances, replacing them with water and carbon dioxide.

There will be no difficulties when installing a biofireplace - this can be done both in the process of repair work, and at a time when they have already been completed. Moreover, there are models that can be transported - wall and floor biofireplaces.

A biofireplace is also distinguished by increased safety indicators from fires - an unforeseen fire or a sharp temperature drop will not happen near the fireplace.

If we analyze such an indicator as the power of heating the room with a biofireplace, then it is approximately at the same level as two medium-power heaters.

It is absolutely not difficult to install a biofireplace, and there are very few special rules for its placement in relation to other objects in the room. For example, if a plasma TV hangs over a fireplace, place it at least one meter away.

If necessary, the fire in the biofireplace can be extinguished at any time.

The biofireplace does not require special additional devices. Unless this applies to the case when it is necessary to place an outlet near a fireplace with an automatic ignition system. If your fireplace has a manual ignition, you do not need an outlet.

Caring for a biofireplace is absolutely easy - you do not need to purchase any special tools for this. It is enough only occasionally to remove the accumulated dust from the surfaces of the fireplace with an ordinary cloth. If glass is a component of the biofireplace, separate detergents are bought for it.

By themselves, biofireplaces differ in specific criteria, including their location.

Wall biofireplaces, as the name implies, are located on the walls. As a rule, such models are not very impressive in size, but if desired, you can order a large copy.

The desktop biofireplace is also not very large. It can be created in any shape and then placed on the desired place on the table. As in other models of a biofireplace, safety is seriously observed here - all four sides of the device are covered with glass.

The outdoor biofireplace is slightly larger. It can be wood, glass, metal and so on.

One type of fireplace is the hearth. It provides for the creation of a niche in the wall where the fireplace will be built in. The niche is pre-equipped with a protective box. Such a biofireplace option can be included in the building construction project in advance or added later, during the renovation.

A slightly different variety is the corner biofireplace. It can also be placed on the wall or on the floor, but stands out for its practical dimensions.

The largest are considered biofireplaces, which are located on the street. Basically, they are located on the veranda, in the yard and in other open areas.

Also, one of the factors in the classification of fireplaces is the method of igniting and extinguishing the flame, as well as the mode of operation. These include automatic, semi-automatic and mechanical systems.

If we talk about the components of the fireplace itself, then an important role is assigned directly to the burner. It should be made from the most natural and high quality materials. An example of such a material is stainless heat-resistant steel. It is desirable that its thickness does not exceed five millimeters.

A truly modern option is an automatic biofireplace. It has a lot of advantages, including the ability to control the fireplace from a special remote control. The fireplace can connect to a Wi-Fi network or a smartphone.

As for the installation of a fireplace, it is carried out at the suggestion of a specialist. To do this, you must comply with the general requirements:

- refuse the location of the bio-fireplace in a draft to avoid excesses;

- the room where the fireplace will be located should be regularly ventilated;

- if ventilation is not provided, fresh air must still enter the room.

Biofuel for such fireplaces is made in a special way, which consists of several stages. You need to calculate the amount of fuel for the fireplace in advance, calculating how much ethanol burns in a certain amount of time.

In general, having learned more about the main characteristics of a bio-fireplace, you can compare it with decorative counterparts. By installing such a device in your home, you will bring comfort, warmth and a special atmosphere to it. Remember that biofireplaces will not bring you any harm.
