How to create comfort at home?

For some reason, it so happened that comfort is primarily a gathering by the fireplace in the evenings. At the same time, it doesn’t matter at all what to do - you can take a nap by the fireplace, read literature, and drink warm tea, humbly watching the smooth movements of the fire. There is a reason for this perception of the fireplace - fire awakens in us a sense of peace, harmony, tranquility and fullness of life. That is why a good solution for creating comfort in a room can be the installation of a fireplace - both with real fire and electronic. However, this is not such a cheap pleasure, so candles placed around the room can serve as a good budget alternative.

A well-appointed dwelling is a dwelling that embodies the idea of its inhabitants about comfort. Comfort is that part of our life that we seek primarily from home, because this is where we spend most of our time. There are many ways, various techniques and techniques that somehow help a person to “blind” comfort with their own hands. However, not all people can correctly use the means prepared in advance for this - in the article I will try to tell you how, first of all, correctly and interestingly, you can make a real “comfort zone” out of your apartment.

Where to begin? Where can I read, see this “look” of comfort? Calm down, you don't have to read anything. Of course, when creating a harmonious atmosphere of an apartment, it is necessary to constantly keep in mind combinations of colors, shapes, decorative elements, take into account possible changes in the interior over time, but ... Isn't comfort something personal? Think carefully and decide first of all on the definition of comfort for yourself - what tones and shades bring you inner peace, what furniture is required for you to feel comfort and convenience, evaluate your attitude to the lighting in the room, its layout, and so on. Only after all these internal issues have been resolved can you start creating your ideal home.

Entering a particular room, we first of all pay our attention to the color scheme - it is not for nothing that we receive about 80% of the information about the world around us through vision. Carefully evaluate the combination of shades of furniture with the color of the walls and floor. In which case, try to replace unnecessary or out of the general color trend interior items with new, more suitable ones.

For many people, a cozy room is an uncluttered room. Get rid of excess trash in your home. Reconsider your opinion about the old racks that have been occupying a whole corner of the room for many years now - maybe you should get rid of them for your own good?

To work with the perception of the size of the room, light helps a lot. Achieving cozy lighting doesn't have to mean brightly lighting up every nook and cranny of your huge living room. First of all, lighting that does not put pressure on the eyes and creates a relaxing, calm atmosphere will be considered cozy. However, in addition to this, it is also worth evaluating the purpose of the room: if you use the living room to sit in it and peacefully enjoy a new book, then you should take care of additional lighting so that reading at night does not turn into constant eye strain. In home improvement stores you can find a wide range of lamps for every taste - from ornate chandeliers to simple minimalist table lamps. So, the light source can expand its functionality and become an elementary addition to the interior.

When planning a cozy room, pay attention to the "main" interior items - large furniture. It is they, along with the walls and floor, that set the overall style and color background of the room. Perhaps, in this sense, sofas and desks are of particular value. Try to also combine them in colors with each other - the lighter the sofa, the lighter the table itself, to the point that it can even be transparent. To give the room a special beauty, you can use the variability of shades (a sofa of different colors, carpets in the form of patchwork, etc.). By the way, many modern interior designers advise choosing sofas with pillows, and sometimes even buying extra blankets for them - this, on a subconscious level, makes the room a little nicer and, accordingly, cozy.

Take care of the smell of your home. Scented oils, air fresheners, maybe even ordinary houseplants all add to the uniqueness of your home and associate it with the idea of a certain smell. However, do not overdo it with the causticity and brightness of aromas: you should not fill the room with them “to the full”, leave only its subtle note, perceptible by the human scent.

After all, who else, besides ourselves, is able to answer as correctly as possible, what is the comfort of our homes?
